Joe Hart was the Celtic player tasked with giving an interview after today’s match, filling in for Liel Abada who was relishing his dramatic winner for the Bhoys against Dundee United.
Abada’s late goal has closed the points gap to Rangers to just two points after the Ibrox side drew 3-3 away to Ross County earlier on Saturday.
Hart paid tribute to the Israeli attacker on Celtic TV, stating: “It’s really important. I’m here on behalf of Liel, who wasn’t confident to do the interview. He wants to thank everyone for the reception – it was a special moment for him to do that in the last minute. A big goal, a big moment, but a long way to go.

“It’s a different conversation if Liel didn’t do what he did, but he did, that’s the fact of the game and we’ve put ourselves in a good position.
“It’s going to be a big night, I think everyone is pumped, everyone is excited. It’s our next game so we can actually focus on it.
“It’s one game, one game that we need to perform to the levels we set for ourselves that maybe we didn’t quite reach today, so that’s most important.”
Hart will likely be a key figure on Wednesday night, not just for his leadership and experience in the dressing room, but you’d expect him to have to make saves if Celtic are to get a positive result.
Rangers have dropped points in recent league matches but they are no joke and will arrive at Celtic Park hoping to spoil the party for 60,000 home fans.
Celtic need to be a lot better than they were against Dundee United today. But it at least sounds like the dressing room knows that despite the joy of today’s Abada winner.
