An unfortunate injury to James Forrest has provided a massive Celtic opportunity for Jeremie Frimpong.
He looks like grabbing it with both hands – and a set of electric heels.
The Bhoys teenager was brought on off the bench against Riga last Thursday and, in truth, had he not then we may not have shown the attacking urgency needed to win eventually.

With Forrest out for a few weeks, Neil Lennon again turned to Frimpong in the right wing-back role yesterday against Hibernian, and the youngster produced a man-of-the-match calibre performance.
Roasting left-backs Josh Doig and Lewis Stevenson, the lightning wideman was on the end of some rough tackles and treatment, but that’s come to be expected.
Frimpong was quick to reference that after the match, posting two pictures on Twitter that sum up the tactics of most domestic rivals when it comes to stopping him.

The message is clear – he won’t be bullied and won’t be stopped as he pushes forward on the Celtic flank.
Over the next month, he has the chance to cement his position in Lennon’s starting eleven this season.
Forrest has been a fantastic player for the Bhoys over the years, but some competition and an alternative option could help him find his best form again too, once he returns from injury.
Fans are already massive admirers of Frimpong of course and over the last 24 hours have been flocking to his social media post to give their latest thoughts on his development.
It’s a love affair that could grow and grow…
Great performance again wee man! Canβt see how Neil can leave you out of the team!

What an enthusiastic young lad Jeremie Frimpong is, he reminds me so much of Jimmy Jinky Johnstone the way he darts in and out of players. Another natural legend in the making.

Frimpong is the most exciting player we’ve had for years! I hope to god they don’t overcoach him and that he’s allowed to play his natural game π https://t.co/4P4te6yT7n
