Former Celtic title-winner Alan Stubbs thinks that the Hoops won’t be bothered if they don’t get a guard of honour against Rangers on Sunday.
Football protocol has often seen the team that has won the league being given a guard of honour by their opponents in the next game.
The chances of that happening for Celtic at Ibrox would seem to be slim. Stubbs thinks the Celtic players won’t care about the situation one way or another.

“That in itself is enough”
“Celtic are going to Ibrox as champions again having won eight-in-a-row and that in itself is enough for them” Stubbs said, as reported by the Daily Record.

“If Rangers don’t form a guard of honour – and I don’t think they will – then nobody at Celtic will lose any sleep over it.”
The game itself might not be as important as previous Glasgow derbies. As the Hoops have already won the title, some tension will be gone from the game.
Lennon will be desperate for Ibrox triumph

However, Neil Lennon will want to win the game very badly. It would do the interim manager the power of good to lead the Hoops to a victory at Ibrox.
The Hoops will also want to make up for their last performance at Ibrox. They slumped to a 1-0 loss in Brendan Rodgers’ last derby in charge. A convincing win at Ibrox would show that the Hoops are worthy champions. It would also lay down a marker for next season.
