Albian Ajeti travels with Celtic to Denmark after missing out on West Ham friendly
Celtic striker Albian Ajeti has travelled with Ange Postecoglou’s squad to Denmark to face FC Midtjylland, despite missing out on Saturday’s friendly against West Ham United.
The forward was revealed to be carrying a knock after the game.
However, the situation clearly isn’t serious enough to rule him out of Wednesday night’s match.
The SNS Group published photos of the Swiss international at the airport today, ahead of Celtic’s flight to Karup.
Ajeti has looked fit and sharp in pre-season this year, netting himself two goals during the training camp in Wales.
However, Postecoglou has opted to favour Odsonne Edouard while the Frenchman remains at the club, despite his uncertain transfer future.

This is a big season for Ajeti and he can’t really afford any significant setbacks in the early season. If ever a player needed to hit the ground running and stake a claim for a first-team place it’s him. After all his injury and fitness problems last season, he needs to prove he can at least be a reliable pick.
Having him on the bench, or even pushing Edouard for a starting berth, is a positive for a beleaguered Celtic squad that is struggling with depth in nearly every position.
Frankly, we need every player on the books fit and available right now, including our striking options.
Hopefully, he can settle in well to competitive action over the next few weeks, as other attacking talents such as Kyogo Furuhashi arrive at the club.
