Aberdeen fans have been left incensed after yet another defeat to Celtic this afternoon.
The Hoops ran out 2-1 winners against the Dons in a competitive clash at Parkhead. The victory moved Celtic up to second in the table and just 4 points off top spot. However, for Aberdeen, they’re left languishing in 8th place and only 5 clear of bottom.

The defeat was Aberdeen’s 3rd straight loss as the pressure continues to mount on Stephen Glass. It’s part of a larger run of dismal form in which the Dons have only won 3 of 16 games.
They were competitive for the most part this afternoon. However, outside of their first-half penalty, the Granite City men failed to create anything in the way of goal-scoring opportunities. Instead, they were forced into defending for the vast majority of the game.
Not quite the vision of grandeur Aberdeen fans believed they were being sold when Glass was appointed. And now attention is turning to Dons chairman Dave Cormack and whether he’ll soon take action on the floundering boss.
Aberdeen competitive but didn’t patch much punch at Celtic Park
This all really comes down to what Aberdeen fans want from their club. From a Celtic perspective, you have to say they were competitive for the most part. They made life difficult for us and got some crucial blocks in when it looked as though we were finally creating openings.
However, going forward, they packed absolutely zero punch. If not for a woeful penalty decision from Kevin Clancy, Joe Hart would’ve been able to get the deckchair out and have a nap. There was nothing from number 9 Christian Ramirez outside of a clumsy bump on our goalkeeper’s bag in the opening minutes.
So even though Aberdeen have only narrowly lost the game, they’ve done so in a manner that their supporters don’t appreciate. They want to be coming to Celtic Park and landing some real blows on us going forward.
Do we feel like we’ve been in a game today? Yes. Did we ever feel like we were going to drop points or lose the game? Not overly, and that’s the problem the Aberdonians have with what they watched today.
No surprises then they left Parkhead absolutely fuming. Here’s a look at some of the rival fan reaction to this afternoon’s game:
