Celtic boss Neil Lennon has a selection dilemma on his hands for the game against Hamilton that most managers would love to have.
He has two players at left-back who will be more than eager to take part in the game. Boli Bolingoli will be desperate to play after his excellent performance in the derby win over Rangers.
Eager to make debut
Meanwhile, recent signing Greg Taylor will be keen to make his Hoops debut in the game. He will be eager to feature at some stage of the game. Particularly after not featuring for Scotland despite being selected for the squad.
If a prediction was to made about which of the two gets the nod to start the game, it would probably be Bolingoli. His performance in the 2-0 win over Rangers was a real answer to the critics.
However, that does not mean that Taylor will not be involved at some stage of the game. Indeed, it would not be a surprise to see him make his debut during the game.
It should be remembered that Hamilton play on an artificial pitch. Taylor will be used to that having played on the same surface for Kilmarnock.
That could mean that Taylor will feature at some stage of the game.
The battle between Bolingoli and Taylor to be Celtic’s first choice left-back this season is certainly one to keep an eye on.
Defender should keep place in side for now
For the moment, it has to be said that Bolingoli is rightfully the player who will be given the starting berth in the side.
However, should his performance level drop, then Taylor will be there to take his place in the team. The battle for the first-team spot between the duo will begin in earnest against Hamilton.
Bolingoli should be given the nod to start the game – but Taylor should feature at some stage.
