Celtic are back in league action today against Hibernian.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are yet to lose a domestic match this season, and with a win against Partick Thistle last week, set up a Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Rangers.

The Hoops are joint-top of the Premiership table with Hearts, and have conceded just once in five league outings.

Rodgers is facing a hectic schedule with today’s fixture sandwiched between two Europa League encounters – after a 1-1 draw with Red Star Belgrade on Wednesday, the Hoops will next welcome Braga to Celtic Park.

With the Hoops boss facing key decisions on whether it’s time to rotate, his line-up for today is a revealing one.

Celtic team to face Hibs

Today’s opponents are without a win in six, and without a win at Celtic Park in 15 years.

They are still a side with quality however, having impressed in European ties against Partizan Belgrade and Midtjylland.

His Celtic team to face Hibernian is as follows:

Celtic starting XI: Schmeichel; Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Saracchi; McGregor, McCowan, Engels; Maeda, Tounekti, Iheanacho.

Celtic subs: Sinisalo, Nygren, Balikwisha, Kenny, Bernardo, Murray, Forrest, Donovan, Tierney.

So there’s no first Celtic Park start for Colby Donovan, but there is for Iheanacho.

Brendan Rodgers’ record in matches against Hibs

Brendan Rodgers’ record against Hibernian is certainly an interesting one.

In his first spell, he managed just one win over Hibs, enjoying epic dugout battles with Celtic hero Neil Lennon.

Since returning, Easter Road has been a tough nut to crack with just one win in three, but his home record has been impressive.

The sides last met at Celtic Park in May, and Nicolas Kuhn stole the show with a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win.

Rodgers will be without Kuhn or Adam Idah, who also scored that day – who will step up for the Celts today?
