Celtic boss Neil Lennon has indicated that he will make changes for the Hoops’ Betfred Cup tie against Partick Thistle on Wednesday night.
One player who seems to have confirmed that will start the game, is striker Vakoun Issouf Bayo. Lennon made the comment as reported by the Daily Record.
“Bayo will come in”
“The likes of Vakoun Bayo will come in. Tom Rogic, Lewis Morgan and Jonny Hayes will also come into our thinking” the Hoops boss said.
The move to start Bayo against Partick seems, on the face of it, to be a smart one.
The Hoops will want to rest Odsonne Edouard for some games this season. With Leigh Griffiths still out, Bayo will be given another chance to show that he should be starting more games this season.
The striker has featured fairly regularly for the Hoops so far this season. He seems to be the second choice striker behind Edouard.

Even before Leigh Griffiths got injured, he was the player coming off the bench to replace Edouard most weeks.
The game against Partick could be the perfect match for Bayo to get his first Celtic goals, since completing his £2 million move from Dunajska Streda in January.
Last season, injuries limited him to only one appearance for the Hoops. He has already bettered that this season. Now he looks set to be given his second competitive start for the Scottish champions.
Bayo may have the task of helping Celtic reach the semi-finals of the competition – lets’ hope that he is able to take his chance and performs well.
