Ange Postecoglou has no fresh Celtic injury concerns ahead of Sunday’s match against Aberdeen, despite a bruising encounter against Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday night.

Injuries have been the big talking point at the club over the last few weeks, with key players such as Callum McGregor and Kyogo Furuhashi missing.

Both stars featured last night at Celtic Park, giving their all before being substituted. And Ange is buoyed by the reaction of their bodies after the encounter.

Speaking to Sky Sports this afternoon, he said: “The pleasing thing is Kyogo and Cal got through it really well. That was really pleasing for us. We wanted to limit their time because they’ve been out, but they’ve pulled through really well.

“Everyone else is obviously a bit tired, and a little battered and bruised, physically and emotionally, but they’re all ready to go for Sunday and we’ll have them all available.”

Sunday is a huge match for Celtic, for Ange and for our hopes of mounting a Scottish Premiership challenge this season.

After a rough few weeks, a first away victory in the league would do everyone the world of good heading into an international break.

Celtic certainly looked more dangerous in attack last night compared to some recent games, so the presence of Kyogo and the captain should serve us well at Pittodrie again.

The Dons aren’t in great form themselves and also need a big performance, so a lot is on the line in the live TV fixture.
