Celtic are officially the 2021/22 Scottish Premiership champions after a 1-1 draw with Dundee United at Tannadice tonight.
Giorgos Giakoumakis opened the scoring for the Bhoys with a powered header from an Anthony Ralston cross. Celtic looked to be cruising to all three points but a Dylan Levitt long-range stunner brought the home side level.
One point was enough, however. Celtic move on to 90 points with one game remaining and cannot be caught by the second-placed team.

Celtic are champions again and nobody predicted it
It’s a title win that nobody really predicted at the start of the season. Celtic supporters always had hope of course but the smart money was undoubtedly on Rangers going on to win a second successive title.
That the Bhoys have managed to show such consistency and quality in the league is a huge achievement, especially as the Ibrox side have provided stern competition throughout. This hasn’t been a year when one team capitulated.
Postecoglou was derided by opposition supporters, pundits and sections of the media when he arrived in Scotland. Much of it was over the top and mean-spirited. All of it now looks ridiculous.
The Australian has revitalised Celtic, delivering a league and cup double and qualifying the Bhoys for the group stages of the UEFA Champions League next term.
He did it with the backdrop of huge change at the club. High-profile players left and a squad needed to be rebuilt. There were staffing and recruitment problems all last summer. Celtic were on their knees this time last year.
He unified new signings with existing squad members and then ultimately bonded the entire group with supporters returning to football, following the horrors of the pandemic.
Along the way, the Australian has become an icon for many fans. His media appearances and words of wisdom have been fantastic throughout as he laid out his vision for Celtic now and into the future.

This could just be the start for Postecoglou and the Bhoys
That’s the most exciting part. This title win just feels like the beginning. Celtic still have a lot of improvement to do. The manager has already confirmed planning is underway for the upcoming transfer window. He wants to build something special.
Everyone will have one last match to acknowledge this season first. That title party arrives on Saturday at home to Motherwell.
Quite shortly after that, it’s a guarantee that the hard work of Postecoglou and his staff will resume, planning for pre-season and beyond.
The process will restart. The journey will continue. Nobody will be betting against Celtic success this time.
In other news, Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou just gave one of his most honest interviews yet.
