Fan group ‘North Curve Celtic’ have shared brilliant footage showing Neil Lennon and his players celebrating with supporters after the team’s 2-1 victory over Aberdeen at Pittodrie.
Goals from Callum McGregor and Kristoffer Ajer ensured that the Bhoys did not waver in their quest for the Scottish Premiership title, ending the weekend ten points clear of rivals Rangers.
Ajer’s winner came towards the end of a difficult, physical match in stormy conditions that had all the makings of a game which would result in dropped points.
After the full-time whistle went, the joy on Lennon’s face, in particular, was fantastic to see, with the manager rushing towards supporters to revel in the victory.
North Curve Celtic apparently had an associate in the Aberdeen end, with footage captured of a jubilant Celtic support and Hoops squad shared to Twitter earlier this afternoon, which you can see below.

After the match on media duties, the manager made it a point to praise supporters for the way they backed the team in the north east today, suggesting it was a motivating factor for his players.
He told the official club Twitter account: “I appreciate the fans making a long trek in horrible conditions. I appreciate everything they bring us and they were magnificent today. Even when the game could have gone either way they were still making a lot of noise.”
The support, the players and the coaching staff all appear to be moving forward in perfect harmony right now. Beyond the odd bit of Twitter moaning, fans are incredibly happy right now with the way things are going under Lennon.
That’s manifesting itself in the stands and the post-match love in at Pittodrie highlighted it perfectly.
Long may it continue as we march towards more trophies this season.
