Neil Lennon’s Celtic team continued their superb start of the season on Saturday with a thrilling 5-2 win away to Motherwell.

Goals from Kristoffer Ajer, Leigh Griffiths, James Forrest, Ryan Christie and Odsonne Edouard provided the three points.

The Hoops survived a slow start, going a goal down, but eventually rallied to blow the Fir Park side away.

Celtic have now scored 20 goals in the last five matches. It’s a tremendous start to the season that suggests Lennon is getting the best attacking blend out of his players.

With CFR Cluj visiting on Tuesday night, it bodes well. We simply should have too much firepower for the Romanian champions.

The goalscorers hit the headlines but the performance of Olivier Ntcham had fans talking too. The Frenchman made his second start of the season and looked phenomenal throughout.

It was his classiest of assists that allowed Edouard to fire home with an accurate finish. Taking the ball on the halfway line, he used his skill and pace to beat a man before making an exquisite pass to his compatriot.

Earlier this summer it looked like he was on the outs at the Hoops. However, Lennon has brought him back into the fold and he looks more vital than ever. He now has a goal and three assists in his five appearances so far this season.
