Brendan Rodgers has announced his Celtic starting XI for this afternoon’s Premiership clash against Kilmarnock.

The Hoops are so close to sealing a fourth consecutive league title and three points over Killie will see one hand placed on the Premiership trophy.

That’s because if Rangers drop points against Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Sunday, Celtic’s title celebrations can finally get underway.

But Celtic have a job to do before that and must make amends after losing 1-0 to bottom club St Johnstone last weekend in Perth.

Rodgers has made several changes to his starting line-up and fans are extremely frustrated over one decision the Celtic manager has made.

Celtic fans frustrated over Maik Nawrocki snub vs Kilmarnock

Plenty of Celtic supporters flooded the club’s official line-up announcement on X and it’s safe to say most of the replies concerned the absence of defender Maik Nawrocki.

Nawrocki started against Rangers and Hearts, impressing in both clashes. But Rodgers dropped him last Sunday in favour of Auston Trusty.

One Celtic fan asked: “What does Nawrocki need to do?

Another supporter posted: “#JusticeForNawrocki

This fan wrote: “Justice for Nawrocki, Rodgers is a coward”.

One punter stated: “Rodgers hasnt got a clue man, nawrocki and bernardo have to be starting.”

While this fan simply published: “Free Maik Nawrocki”.

Celtic’s full starting XI vs Kilmarnock confirmed

Elsewhere, Rodgers has decided to drop Auston Trusty in favour of Liam Scales after the American put in an unconvincing display last weekend in Perth.

Rangers-linked Greg Taylor has also made the starting XI, as Jeffrey Schlupp pays the price for his ‘lazy’ first-half performance against St Johnstone.

It’s the same midfield three, while James Forrest and Adam Idah are preferred to wingers Jota and Nicolas Kuhn, who have both been criticised by Chris Sutton.
