Celtic attacker Mohamed Elyounoussi is currently in a great run of form at the moment. The on-loan Southampton man was integral to the Hoops in their 2-0 win over St Mirren.

He opened the scoring for the Hoops in the second-half, getting on the end of a rebound after an Odsonne Edouard shot hit the post.

He was also involved in James Forrest’s goal, which all but killed the game off. There will be a growing demand for the player, who signed for Southampton for £16 million, to be signed on a permanent deal for the Hoops. As yet we don’t know if the Hoops will be able to afford the player. Southampton might not be interested in letting him leave. However, Neil Lennon must try to explore a way to sign the player on a permanent deal.

Here are two other things we learned from the game:

James Forrest celebrated signing his new Celtic contract with a goal which put Celtic 2-0 ahead. That makes it the third season in a row in which the player has reached double figures in goals. That shows how remarkably consistent he has been for the Hoops in the last few seasons. There is plenty of time for him to score 20 goals this season. Hopefully he achieves that goal for the first-time as a Celtic player.

£7 million man must stop missing great chances

Christopher Jullien became an instant Celtic hero when his header clinched the 2-1 Europa League win over Lazio. However, he has managed to miss plenty of great chances for the Hoops. This happened once again against St Mirren. The chance came for him to replicate his goal against Lazio, but his header didn’t find the back of the net on this occasion. If he can take more of his chances this season, he could easily hit double figures this season for the Hoops. Only time will tell on that matter though.
