Celtic’s Europa League campaign resumes this week against Stuttgart, and it seems that goals will be guaranteed.

Martin O’Neill’s side qualified for the play-off stages after beating Utrecht 4-2 in their final group game.

By finishing 21st in the table, Celtic were drawn against 11th placed Stuttgart.

The German side are currently chasing a Champions League spot but will have their full focus on the first leg at Celtic Park on Thursday.

If you’re looking for a game with goals, then this is the perfect one.

On a scale of 1-10, how confident are you that Celtic can beat Stuttgart?

Both teams have scored in 75 per cent of Celtic’s Europa League games this season

Across Celtic’s eight Europa League games this season, both teams have scored in 75 per cent of those.

According to Opta, the average for the entire competition is 52 per cent, meaning the Hoops are way above the average.

Worryingly, the only two fixtures involving Celtic that saw both teams fail to score ended up in defeat for the Bhoys.

Celtic must head to Germany with a clean sheet

Now that the competition has turned into a two-legged affair, picking up a result at home is all the more important.

As O’Neill’s side are at home first, they have to ensure they have some sort of advantage before going to Germany.

Celtic fans would you rather: Win the Europa League but miss out on the league title?

Or… get knocked out of the Europa League and win the title?

Last season, losing at home to Bayern Munich ultimately cost them in the return fixture at the Allianz Arena.

Bucking the trend and heading to Stuttgart with a win and clean sheet intact would be a huge advantage.
