Hibs come to Celtic Park on league duty in the middle of a crisis following the removal of Neil Lennon as manager.
Celtic must continue their good form and take advantage of Hibs’ troubles with a convincing win at home.
With Rangers travelling to Aberdeen, Celtic could be as many as nine points clear of their rivals come full time.
However, they must at least be six in front by avenging December’s defeat to the Easter Road side.
Hibs currently don’t have a manager after Neil Lennon’s departure from Easter Road.
The club released a statement confirming Lennon had not resigned, nor had he been sacked as manager.

However, Lennon is no longer the Hibs manager. They have won one and lost one since his reign ended.
A poor run of form since defeating Celtic had led to Lennon leaving the club.
With the club in the middle of a crisis following this, Celtic must take full advantage and consign Hibs to a second straight defeat.
The Parkhead club have started the new year well, winning five straight games. Heading into the winter break on the back of a defeat to rivals Rangers, it appears the Celtic players have come back rejuvenated.
With a hapless Hibs the next team to visit Celtic Park, the Bhoys can make another giant step towards an eighth successive title.
Sunday’s win in Perth felt like a massive result for Brendan Rodgers’ men. Earlier in the season they may have dropped silly points on the road against a well organised St Johnstone.
However, with the new added firepower in the side, they found a way to make the breakthrough.

The midweek fixtures could prove pivotal in the race for the Scottish Premiership. Celtic’s six point gap could be as many as nine or as little as three depending on the results.
With Rangers and Aberdeen playing each other, one of Celtic’s supposed challengers will fail to make ground on the Bhoys.
Celtic must do their own job first, then worry about other results afterwards.
That job resumes against Hibs, where nothing but a win will do for the Hoops.
