Wilfried Nancy has suffered back-to-back defeats as Celtic manager with an embarrassing defeat against Roma.
Things got off to the worst possible start as Liam Scales turned a Roma corner into his own net with a bullet header that left Kasper Schmeichel with no chance.
Evan Ferguson, who could join the Hoops in January, then doubled the lead after some lacklustre defending before making it three right before half time.
The Hoops were then somewhat fortunate to be given a penalty for a foul on Arne Engels shortly after, and the record signing couldn’t make it count by hitting the post and watching it bounce away.
Kelechi Iheanacho thought he’d pulled one back but had his tap-in chalked off for offside but nothing could be done to make a miserable night somewhat brighter.
With that, here are the ratings from a dreadful night in Glasgow.

What needs to change after that defeat?
Celtic player ratings
Kasper Schmeichel – 4
Felt
Auston Trusty – 3
Part of a calamitous defence in the first half, and just as poor
Liam Scales – 2
His worst game of the season by a mile. An own goal, and also left everyone onside for the second goal. Hopefully a blip.
The worst start possible…
Kieran Tierney – 3
Poor for the second goal and went off at half time, although we’re not sure why.
Hyunjun Yang – 3
Looked more comfortable in the second half when playing more advanced but it was too little too late.
Sebastian Tounekti – 3
Another gutless display from the winger after calls for him to be dropped in the build-up.
Callum McGregor (C) -3
Will be very disappointed with how he played. Seemed to struggle with his first touch and was suffocated by the Roma midfield.
Arne Engels -3
Missed from the spot-kick, physically way off it and
Benjamin Nygren -3
So many misplaced passes and not physical at all. A horror show.
Daizen Maeda – 4
Not his fault that he got no service all game. Did what he could with very limited chances.
Reo Hatate – 3
Consistently inconsistent is the best way to describe Reo Hatate. We know he can be so much better.
Substitutes
Paulo Bernardo – 5
Had a somewhat positive impact when he came off the bench, but was left with a mountain to climb by his teammates’ first-half performance.
Colby Donovan – 5
Did well in difficult circumstances. Can’t really ask for much more from the youngster.
Kelechi Iheanacho – 6

The only player to come out with any sort of credit. Made an impact off the bench and showed some desire.
Anthony Ralston – 4
Did okay when he came on the bench but couldn’t contribute from an attacking sense.
Michel-Ange Balikwisha – 4
Didn’t get much of a chance on the pitch.
