Celtic’s extremely busy schedule continues on Sunday when the Hoops take on Aberdeen at Pittodrie at lunchtime.
The game was always going to be an important one as the team look to stay clear at the top of the league, but a new dimension to the game has been added as Rangers’ game against Livingston has been rescheduled to Sunday afternoon due to bad weather, reports BBC Sport.
That means that a win for the Hoops would put them 13 points clear at the top of the table, and pile plenty of pressure on the Ibrox side.
Another intriguing element to factor in is the fact that the Hoops return to Europa League action on Thursday against Copenhagen.
That probably won’t have any impact on the team that Neil Lennon selects for the trip to Pittodrie though. He will want to pick up the three points, then focus on Europe.
With that in mind, expect the Hoops boss to pick the strongest team available.
The 3-5-2 formation has been working spectacularly, most recently in the midweek 5-0 win over Hearts, so there is no need to change that style.
The team
In goals, Fraser Forster is the only option, and he has been in imperious form for the Hoops this season.
As we are sticking with a three at the back system, the trio of centre-backs to be selected will be Christopher Jullien, Jozo Simunovic and Kristoffer Ajer.
The trio have been performing well recently, Simunovic in particular has been playing well after being out injured for almost the entirety of the first-half of the season.
On the left-wing, Greg Taylor to keep his place in the side, as he is coming off the back of his best performance of the season against Hearts.
As for the right-wing, James Forrest has done nothing to lose his place in the side, so he should get the nod to start.
Trio pulling strings with excellent results
When it comes to the middle of the park, the trio of Callum McGregor, Scott Brown and Olivier Ntcham have been pulling the strings with superb results, therefore they should start at Pittodrie.
As for up-front, it was a bit of a surprise when the strike duo of Leigh Griffiths and Odsonne Edouard drew a blank in the game against Hearts.
However, the duo have been playing so well that they deserve to keep their places in the team.
