Celtic face Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday looking to kickstart the season with a strong three points.
Brendan Rodgers’ side have been excellent throughout the pre-season period and won all three matches on their USA tour.
The manager is delighted with the progress of his team and reckons the players are really clicking into his preferred style of play and approach in matches.
Fitness-wise, the squad is in good shape for the season opener too with Nicolas Kuhn and Cameron Carter-Vickers shaking off concerns.
The only expected absentee is Daizen Maeda, who took a ‘nasty’ knee knock in the win over Chelsea – Rodgers confirmed he is a doubt.
Potential Celtic team vs Kilmarnock
Kasper Schmeichel will make his competitive debut in goal, kicking off a new era after the retirement of Joe Hart. New signing Viljami Sinisalo will start his Celtic career on the bench.
Anthony Ralston is expected to start with Alistair Johnston still building his fitness after an extended summer of tournament football and holidays. Greg Taylor will feature on the opposite flank.

Cameron Carter-Vickers and Liam Scales will be the preferred centre-back pairing for the foreseeable future, at least until a new signing is made for the position.
In midfield, Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley remain the strongest trio.
If Maeda doesn’t make this one then Luis Palma should get a big opportunity on the left flank with Nicolas Kuhn and Kyogo Furuhashi the others tasked with aiding the attack after bright showings in pre-season.
Your Predicted XI in full is: Schmeichel, Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Taylor, McGregor, Hatate, O’Riley, Kuhn, Palma, Kyogo.
