Nancy has been experimenting with overlapping centre-backs in Celtic’s last few games.
When Kieran Tierney does it, it can look great – but watching Liam Scales and Anthony Ralston in those hybrid roles can be quite tough.
What has worked better for Nancy has been the relationship on the left side between Luke McCowan and Daizen Maeda.
McCowan moves into midfield when the Hoops have the ball, allowing Maeda to hug the touchline and offer more of a threat in behind.
James Forrest’s goal against Aberdeen could earn him his first start under Nancy. The team needs goals, and he provides them more consistently than most.
Viljami Sinisalo is our biggest call. With Nancy keen to get a look at all of his players and Kasper Schmeichel without a clean sheet since the change of manager, it could be time for our Finnish number two to get his chance.
