Celtic could be set for a bill from Kilmarnock, after some damage at the stadium yesterday.
The Hoops went eight points clear of Rangers in dramatic fashion at Rugby Park. Scott Brown’s goal sparked mass scenes of jubilation from the Hoops fans. This involved a pitch invasion from the Celtic supporters, as fans flooded onto the pitch.
And now, images in the Daily Record show that there has been some damage done to the seats at Rugby Park. The damage could lead to an investigation, but the images certainly aren’t favourable.

Another incident occurred in the first-half when Kris Boyd was struck by a coin. It appeared to happen during the Kilmarnock striker’s warm-up. Whether the Hoops are also pulled up for this remains to be seen.
But the main incident in question appears to be the damage done to the chairs.
Celebration scenes show it was difficult to control
Nobody knows for certain, but it wouldn’t be surprising if this damage was done during the goal celebration.
It was a massive moment in Celtic’s season. It was the first point this term that they had managed to stretch eight points clear of second-place. Therefore, it’s understandable as to why some structural damage may have occurred in the aftermath.
Celtic fans were totally jubilant after Brown’s winner. There was a clear adrenaline rush from everyone, and as you can imagine, the flood onto the pitch wasn’t orderly.

So it could be that the club has to foot the bill for this. Not that it should be a problem given those hefty profits the club boasted about last week.
But the coin-throw at Boyd was totally unacceptable. A similar incident occurred when a Rangers fan threw a coin at a linesman during their 1-0 loss at the Tony Macaroni Arena to Livingston.
These acts of petulance and immaturity have to stop and be ousted from Scottish football. They’re dangerous, and could have more serious consequences for the target than you would hope is intended.
Passions ran high at Kilmarnock yesterday, and the Hoops could receive a small fine in the result of it.
