As soon as the Celtic supporters saw the name “Tom Rogic” in the starting line-up tonight, you just knew it was going to be one of those performances from him.

Rogic returned tonight from an over month-long absence after last being seen in the 3-1 win at Easter Road back in late October. And unsurprisingly, he made it look as if he’s never been away.

Tom was in absolutely dazzling form. Using his quick feet to consistently create space in the final third, Rogic was the biggest nightmare for the Jambos tonight. Not one of their midfielders were able to deal with him.

In fact, the Australian international was consistently fouled throughout and you could see the frustration building within Hearts midfield that they simply couldn’t get near him.

It’s not just his ball-control and quick feet when in possession either. It’s the positions Rogic takes up. It’s the way in which he’s able to pull off that incredible half-turn that always gets him goal-side of his man.

The mercurial talent also used his power extremely well tonight. Even in cramped positions, he managed to get his body in the way and hold off what’s a physical Hearts side. You had to be impressed with what he brought to the table tonight.

It’s brilliant to have these options back available once again. Rogic couldn’t be returning at a better time with such a cramped schedule this month. And to see him return at such a superb level is brilliant from a Hoops perspective.

Ange now has the ability to rotate his midfield options and that’s something he’ll be delighted with, even if tonight was bruising on the injury front.

And after a superb return from Rogic, the Celtic fans have been quick to show their appreciation. Here’s a look at how the Hoops support reacted to his display:
