John Kennedy has named his Celtic team for today’s game v Hibs in the Scottish Premiership, per the official club website.

The full matchday squad is as follows:

Starting XI – Barkas, Kennedy, Ajer, Welsh, Taylor, Brown, McGregor, Turnbull, Christie, Elyounoussi, Edouard.

Substitutes – Hazard, Griffiths, Ajeti, Soro, Murray, Forrest, Montgomery, Ralston, Dembele.

It’s the end of a long, difficult season. I don’t know about you but I’m delighted to see the back of it. Still, we have one more test.

The occasion is overshadowed by Scott Brown’s departure from the club, and rightly so. Brown and his teammates will be desperate to say farewell on a high.

Kennedy has named a pretty standard team. There’s no Adam Montgomery or Karamoko Dembele in the starting lineup, though both of them are on the bench.

Loan players such as Mohamed Elyounoussi and Jonjoe Kenny continue to be selected despite uncertain futures.

Broadcast details

Today’s game is not on the club’s ‘Pass To Paradise’ streaming service for season ticket holders as it takes place away from home.

Celtic TV will, however, be broadcasting live coverage, for subscribers to the separate service, outside of the UK & Ireland.

The fixture also isn’t on Sky Sports today, meaning the own legal method of tuning in from this region is via Hibernian’s streaming PPV service.

The Easter Road side are selling access to the fixture for £15. You can register and purchase via this link.

Fan reaction to Celtic team v Hibs

I think supporters were expecting to see a bit more freshness in today’s lineup. In particular the fact that Karamoko Dembele doesn’t start after his mid-week goal is a point of contention for some.

Personally, I wanted to see Montgomery again too.

I get that Kennedy wants to go out with a win for Brown’s last match and that Hibernian are a tough team to face away from home, but it would’ve been a great test for some youngsters.
