Read MoreCeltic team v Livingston confirmed: Exciting front 4, stream details, fans react
John Kennedy has announced his Celtic team for today’s Scottish Premiership clash at home to Livingston.
The full match squad is as follows:
Starting XI – Bain, Kenny, Welsh, Ajer, Taylor, Brown, McGregor, Turnbull, Forrest, Elyounoussi, Edouard.
Substitutes – Barkas, Duffy, Bitton, Griffiths, Ajeti, Soro, Christie, Rogic, Laxalt.
With the league over, today’s fixture is essentially meaningless. However, there are some subplots to keep an eye on.
The main one is our preparations for next week’s Scottish Cup Fourth Round fixture vs Rangers. Does today’s team give us a clue to that selection?
Kennedy will be desperate to avoid any injuries to his key players for the trip to Ibrox.
Added to that, a draw or defeat would see us limping across the city with fear. We need an assured performance today.
Little surprise that the interim boss has named as strong a team as possible despite the low stakes.
Broadcast details
Today’s game is on the club’s ‘Pass To Paradise’ streaming service for season ticket holders.
Celtic TV will also be broadcasting live coverage, for subscribers to the separate service, outside of the UK & Ireland.
For those who cannot tune in there, BBC Radio Scotland is providing live audio commentary online.
Fan reaction to Celtic team v Livingston
The reaction to the team today has been pretty positive. People are pleased to see James Forrest and Mohamed Elyounoussi in the same team, as well as the return of Odsonne Edouard.
There’s the usual smattering of confusion about Scott Brown and Scott Bain, but it’s surely accepted at this point they are Kennedy’s go-to players in those positions?
We have more than enough talent on the pitch to beat Livingston, so let’s hope the Bhoys can put in a professional performance.
These fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on it all…
Front 4 of Turnbull, Forrest, Moi and Edouard would have probably been the ideal front line this season https://t.co/BwJIwPaDOM

Christie on the bench? Interesting that he’s actually dropped him https://t.co/nK3YBg3zat

Barkas in and this would have been the perfect team https://t.co/JAqzhLAfvD

Happy with that apart from Bain in goals. Barkas should be given a chance to prove himself in the remaining games. 5 million alot of money not too. https://t.co/2M3zCREr8h
