Today serves not just as a title party, but as one last tune-up for the squad ahead of next week’s massive Scottish Cup Final at Hampden.

The manager has made six changes from the team that lost to Hibernian at Easter Road midweek with Joe Hart, Alistair Johnston, Greg Taylor, Matt O’Riley, Jota and Kyogo all coming into the starting line-up.

Postecoglou has gone with a team that looks pretty similar to what we could see against Inverness Caledonian Thistle for that treble-defining clash.

Instant verdict on Celtic team vs Aberdeen

It’s fantastic to see Alistair Johnston fit and healthy again after his collision with Borna Barisic in the Scottish Cup semi-final against Rangers. There were doubts he would make it back for the end of the season but he’s worked hard to feature.

The Tomoki Iwata experiment continuing in defence will raise a few eyebrows, but it’s at least another chance to see if he can perform that versatile role. Kobayashi has looked off the pace in recent matches and a decision on this position has to be made before the cup final.

Elsewhere, it’s about as you’d expect with Daizen Maeda’s suspension. The dual threat of Jota and Liel Abada either side of Kyogo Furuhashi is hopefully enough to punish Aberdeen and end the season in style.
