Manager Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team vs Aberdeen for today’s big Scottish Premiership lunchtime kick-off.
The full match squad is as follows:
Starting XI – Hart, Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Nawrocki, Taylor, McGregor, O’Riley, Turnbull, Abada, Maeda, Kyogo.
Substitutes – Bain, Haksabanovic, Yang, Holm, Tomoki, Bernabei, Hatate, Forrest, Welsh.
Celtic’s first away match of the league season is a tricky one and the Bhoys will do well to come away with the three points this afternoon. A late Callum McGregor goal was all that separated the sides the last time they met at this venue last season. Expect a tight game, but for Celtic to hopefully and eventually show their quality.
Rodgers has named a strong team for the task – in fact, it is an entirely unchanged lineup from last week’s opening-day win over Ross County at Celtic.
Alexandro Bernabei and Sead Haksabanovic are back on the bench, while David Turnbull has retained his place in the team over Reo Hatate.
Broadcast details
Today’s fixture is on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football in the UK & Ireland.

Instant verdict on Celtic team vs Aberdeen
This is actually the team we went for in our predicted eleven from earlier today so there are no complaints at our end for this one. Rodgers has gone with the team he feels has the best balance and the most commitment to it right now.
Hatate being on the bench will no doubt raise a few eyebrows again, but he is certain to come into the match in the second half anyway, so will have a chance to show he is on the right track under the manager.
With loads of strong options on the bench, including new signings Odin Thiago Holm and Hyunjun Yang, hopefully Celtic just have too much firepower for the home side today.
