Manager Ange Postecoglou has named his Celtic team vs Hearts in the Scottish Premiership, per the official club Twitter account.

The full match squad is as follows:

Starting XI: Hart, Ralston, Starfelt, Welsh, Juranovic, McGregor, Turnbull, Forrest, Rogic, Jota, Kyogo

Substitutes: Bain, Bitton, Ajeti, Abada, McCarthy, Johnston, Montgomery

After Rangers scraped a fortuitous 1-0 win at Easter Road last night, the pressure has been turned up on Celtic this evening. Only 3 points against Robbie Neilson’s 3rd-placed Jambos will do.

Celtic showed their character to overcome Aberdeen on Sunday after a draining trip to Bayer Leverkusen only days beforehand.

The headline team news is that Tom Rogic returns to the starting XI after over a month out of action. His comeback has been highly anticipated, and will hopefully provide the Celts with that extra cutting edge in the final third that we didn’t have on Sunday. Carl Starfelt, meanwhile, comes in for Cameron Carter-Vickers in a surprising change.

Elsewhere, James Forrest has come back into the side at the expense of Liel Abada, with Jota and Kyogo joining him as part of the attacking three.

Broadcast details

The game tonight will be broadcast live on Sky Sports with coverage of the match beginning at 7pm. Kickoff is at 7:45pm Celtic Park Time.

Today’s match will also be on the Pass to Paradise service for season-ticket holders. Celtic TV, meanwhile, will be broadcasting the game for subscribers outside the UK and Ireland.

Fan reaction to Celtic team vs Hearts

There is some concern at the absence of Cameron Carter-Vickers in tonight’s starting XI. It certainly isn’t what many expected, but it’s eased slightly with the return of Carl Starfelt.

The Celtic supporters are generally extremely positive about the line-up outside of CCV’s absence. With Rogic and Starfelt back in the mix, it’s adds some extra freshness to things.

As expected, the line-up is pretty much as strong as possible. Many may even believe to be the best possible team we could play outside of Carter-Vickers’ absence.
