Ange Postecoglou has named his Celtic team for tonight’s Scottish Premiership match against Hibernian at Easter Road, as per the club’s official Twitter account.

The full match squad is as follows:

Starting XI – Hart, Ralston, Starfelt, Carter-Vickers, Juranovic, McGregor, Turnbull, Rogic, Jota, Kyogo, Johnston

Substitutes – Bain, Bitton, Giakoumakis, Ajeti, Abada, Montgomery, Welsh

Victory here remains absolutely essential despite a fine run of 4 consecutive wins in all competitions. Given the Hoops remain 4 points off the top of the Premiership, securing the win at Easter Road gives us the chance to continue our momentum-building form.

Celtic haven’t won in Leith for 7 years on league duty. Our last top-flight success away to Hibs was a 4-0 win back in January 2014. Kris Commons, Virgil van Dijk, and Teemu Pukki were all on the scoresheet in that one.

As for tonight, it’s as strong a team as you would expect. The big surprise is seeing Mikey Johnston start as part of the front 3 with Giorgos Giakoumakis out. Liel Abada remains on the bench.

Elsewhere, it looks as though Kyogo Furuhashi will be given the chance to return to his favoured position as the lone striker. It remains to be seen which flank both Jota and Johnston occupy.

It’s as you were for the rest of the XI, with a strong bench available if necessary.

Broadcast Details

Unfortunately, the game isn’t being broadcast on live TV in the UK or Republic of Ireland. This comes due to the fact Sky Sports have decided not to screen the clash.

The only way to view the game legally for UK and Ireland-based supporters is to splash out £15 for Hibernian’s PPV coverage of the game.

Celtic TV will screen the match live for subscribers outside of the UK and Ireland. A video replay will be available from 10pm.

Alternatively, Celtic fans can follow the live text or audio coverage of the game via the BBC Scotland website.

Fan reaction to Celtic team vs Hibernian

As expected, supporters are delighted to see Johnston back in the fold. It’s his first start for the club since January, and he’ll be looking to make a major impact tonight.

There’s massive confidence riproaring through the fanbase at the moment thanks to recent results and performances. If Ange can end our Easter Road hoodoo tonight, the morale will grow to new heights.

Here’s hoping we get the result we’re after!
