Manager Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team vs Kilmarnock for today’s Scottish Premiership clash at Celtic Park.

Celtic can move seven points clear of St Mirren and ten points clear of Rangers with a victory today, ahead of those teams facing off on Sunday. It’s a big chance to put pressure on the second and third-placed sides.
The big news is that Cameron Carter-Vickers returns to the starting line-up for the first time since his hamstring injury against Aberdeen earlier in the season.w
Luis Palma also makes his first league start for the club as one of two changes to the line-up that faced Lazio on Wednesday night.

The return of Carter-Vickers is a significant boost to the Bhoys. He is easily the strongest defender at the club – in more ways than one. Getting him to match action ahead of a tricky run immediately following the international break is great news.
Elsewhere, the team is pretty much as expected. We reckoned Palma was in line for a start today and Rodgers has gone for his strongest available eleven in the other positions. It’s a team full of quality and attacking intent.
Despite the wet conditions, hopefully the team are able to string together some good football and get one over on Kilmarnock after their shock cup win over the Bhoys earlier in the season. Three points please!
