Manager Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team vs Kilmarnock for today’s Scottish League Cup clash at Rugby Park.

The full match squad is as follows:

Starting XI – Hart, Ralston, Lagerbielke, Nawrocki, Taylor, McGregor, Holm, O’Riley, Abada, Maeda, Kyogo.

Substitutes – Bain, Scales, Haksabanovic, Yang, Turnbull, Kwon, Tomoki, Bernabei, Forrest.

Rodgers has a perfect cup record as a Celtic manager but that doesn’t mean anyone will be complacent about the challenge awaiting the Bhoys today.

Kilmarnock provide stern opposition at home on their artificial pitch, backed by boisterous support that has always watched the Ayrshire side knock off Rangers this season.

The manager has made two changes to the team that beat Aberdeen last week with new signing Gustaf Lagerbielke coming in for the injured Cameron Carter-Vickers and Odin Thiago Holm getting his first start in place of David Turnbull.

Broadcast details

Today’s match is being shown live on Viaplay Sport 1 in the UK & Ireland.

Celtic TV will also be carrying the fixture to subscribers of their global service away from these shores.

Many broadcasters around the world are also carrying live coverage including Paramount+ in the United States and beIN Sports 3 in Australia. A full list of global TV channels can be found via LiveSoccerTV.

BBC Radio Scotland will also be providing live audio commentary across their platforms online and over the airwaves.

Instant verdict on Celtic team vs Kilmarnock

Rodgers was never going to massively rotate his team today despite having a week off from league action. He wants to win all the cups during his time here and today is an important fixture.

There are no complaints about the team here. In fact, this is the eleven we suggested would and should start the Rugby Park clash earlier this morning.

It’s exciting to see Lagerbielke in action and ready to form a partnership with Maik Nawrocki immediately. Holm’s first start is also encouraging, fans have been clamouring to see more of him after cameo appearances of the bench and everyone will be keenly watching to see how he comes through today’s test.

Elsewhere, the eleven is very strong with solid options on the bench should we need them in what could be a tight 90 minutes.

In other news, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers gets rough media treatment in Sunday morning paper.
