Manager Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team vs Livingston for today’s Scottish Cup quarter-final clash at Celtic Park.
The full match squad is as follows:
Starting XI – Hart, Johnston, Welsh, Scales, Taylor, Iwata, O’Riley, Bernardo, Kuhn, Maeda, Idah.
Substitutes – Bain, Lagerbielke, Kyogo, Holm, Oh, Vata, Kelly, Forrest, Ralston.
Celtic are the cup holders and will be eager to continue their defence of the trophy by booking a place at Hampden with a victory today. It’s especially important to get back to winning ways after losing last time out away to Hearts at Tynecastle.
The big news today is that Cameron Carter-Vickers isn’t in the match squad. It remains to be seen whether he has picked up an injury or is simply being rested – there was no word of an issue in the manager’s pre-match media conference on Friday. He’s been replaced by Stephen Welsh.
Elsewhere Nicolas Kuhn gets another chance to shine in the absence of Luis Palma and Hyunjun Yang, with Paulo Bernardo preferred over other midfield options alongside Matt O’Riley and Tomoki Iwata.

The verdict on Celtic team vs Livingston
Even if only rested, it’s a blow for fans not to see Carter-Vickers in the line-up. The Bhoys are a much better team with him involved and the side is already missing the leadership of Callum McGregor.
The bench doesn’t look particularly strong either so we’ll be hoping to get off to a strong start and for some underperformers in recent weeks to step up.
Kyogo Furuhashi is at least available to be introduced if required as Adam Idah continues his quest to consistently find the back of the net.
