Manager Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team vs Queen’s Park for tonight’s pre-season friendly at the City Stadium.
The full match squad is as follows:
Starting XI – Bain, Iwata, Welsh, Murray, Kobayashi, Lawal, O’Riley, Holm, Yang, Johnston, Kyogo.
Substitutes – Siegrist, Oluwayemi, Clarke, Oh, Kwon, Frame, Agbaire, Robertson, Dede, Ure, Donovan, Hatton, Turley.
This evening’s fixture is another step on the road towards competitive action kicking off at the start of August and will be treated as a fitness exercise, not much more.
Like Friday night’s 1-1 draw away to Ayr United, Rodgers is fielding an unfamiliar eleven that will likely not play much together throughout the coming season.
The manager is handing big opportunities to Dane Murray and Bosun Lawal after they impressed last week while Matt O’Riley and Mikey Johnston return to the line-up after summer breaks.
Broadcast details
Like all of this season’s pre-season schedule, Celtic TV will be providing live coverage of the fixture to subscribers of the club’s broadcast service.
Subscribers worldwide, even within the UK & Ireland, can get an official stream of the friendly.
The match is not available via pay-per-view or any other means and there will be no radio coverage of the event.

The verdict on Celtic team vs Queen’s Park
It’s great to see O’Riley back in a Celtic shirt after all the speculation surrounding him this summer. We still don’t truly know where he’ll be playing his football over the coming season but he is clearly focused on getting on with hard work at the Bhoys for now.
After Johnston’s confidence-boosting spell at West Bromwich Albion last term, it’ll also be interesting to see how he performs back in Glasgow.
Like Friday there will likely be many changes at half-time and there are a raft of Academy talents on the bench ready to show the manager what they can do. Hopefully we see people take their opportunities
