Manager Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team vs Rangers for today’s massive Scottish Premiership derby at Celtic Park.
The full match squad is as follows:
Starting XI – Hart, A Johnston, Welsh, Scales, Taylor, McGregor, Bernardo, O’Riley, Maeda, Palma, Kyogo.
Substitutes – Bain, Abada, Yang, Turnbull, Nawrocki, Oh, Hatate, Ralston, M Johnston.
Today is one of the biggest games of the season so far and could have a big say in how the title race develops across the second half of the campaign.
Rodgers has made one change to the starting eleven that beat Dundee at Dens Park with Stephen Welsh coming in for the injured Cameron Carter-Vickers.
Elsewhere, Reo Hatate and Liel Abada return to the Celtic bench after months out with muscle injuries, giving the manager plenty of options in the second half if needed.
Broadcast details
Today’s match is being shown live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football in the UK and Ireland.

The game is being shown by dozens of broadcasters around the world including CBS Sports Network in the United States and beIN Sports in Australia. A full list of global channels can be found via LiveSoccerTV.
BBC Radio Scotland will also have audio commentary over the airwaves and online for those who can’t get to the match or a television.

Instant verdict on Celtic team vs Rangers
It’s fantastic to see both Abada and Hatate back involved with the match squad. The Israeli international in particular could provide a real attacking threat in the second half if that is what is required.
Encouragingly, Rodgers said in his pre-match media conference that Abada is looking really good in training, so hopefully, he can hit the ground running with a big impact.
The defensive decision to bring in Stephen Welsh is no surprise if you’ve been following Celtic squads over the last couple of months. It’s far from an ideal Bhoys backline but the key will be imposing themselves on the match in an attacking sense.
If the players can do that, roared on by 60,000 supporters, there’s real hope of a positive result to take into 2024.
