Celtic need a win tonight to keep hopes of last 16 qualification alive after just a point from the first three matches in the group.

The Bhoys competed well for chunks of last week’s 3-1 defeat in Germany, but tonight it’s about putting together a victorious 90-minute performance and showing that this team is improving in Europe.

The big team news tonight is that Jota doesn’t make the match squad after the manager shared he was struggling with ‘fatigue’ right now. Elsewhere, it’s the same midfield three that started away to St Johnstone, with Moritz Jenz coming back into the defence after illness.

Broadcast details

Tonight’s match is on BT Sport 3 and BT Sport Ultimate in the UK & Ireland.

Celtic do not hold live video rights for any territory so only audio commentary will be provided on the club’s Celtic TV service.

As you can imagine, the fixture is being broadcast in dozens of countries around the world. In Australia, the Bhoys are live on Stan Sport. In the USA, the match can be found on Paramount+.

BBC Radio Scotland are also providing live commentary across their platforms.

Instant reaction to Celtic team vs RB Leipzig

This is probably the team most supporters would have gone with, taking into account the injury and fitness issues the squad has right now. Callum McGregor and Jota are two of our best players, and missing them is a big blow.

It’s an attacking line-up. We’re clearly going out to put Leipzig under serious pressure. It’s now about the players delivering on that and finding the space to punish them.

Most importantly, we need to see composure and clinical finishing from the front three of Kyogo, Liel Abada and Daizen Maeda. We will create chances but tonight is the night they must be put away confidently after a few weeks of frustration in that regard.

In other news, “Manipulate them to suit things”; Former Celtic boss calls out irrelevant narrative.
