Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has named his team that will take on Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League tonight.
The full match squad is as follows:
Starting XI – Hart, Juranovic, Jenz, Starfelt, Taylor, O’Riley, Mooy, Hatate, Abada, Maeda, Kyogo
Substitutes – Siegrist, Bain, Giakoumakis, Haksabanovic, Turnbull, McCarthy, Jota, Bernabei, Abildgaard, Forrest, Ralston, Welsh

This evening’s match will be the Hoops’ final European fixture of the 2022/23 campaign after being eliminated in matchday four and missing out on a Europa League knockout spot.
However, there still is still something up for grabs, with the Bhoys playing for further prize money in this competition and our opponents hoping to top Group F with a victory.
It should prove to be a top occasion for the squad, playing at an iconic footballing venue like the Santiago Bernabeu. But it is also bound to be a tough night against the current European champions.
The manager has made four changes to that team that came away victorious against Livingston, with the big news being the return of Carl Starfelt, who makes his first appearance since his injury in the 4-0 win over Rangers.

Tonight’s game will be shown live on BT Sports 4 in the UK and Ireland.

Instant verdict on Celtic team vs Real Madrid
First off, it is great to see Carl Starfelt back in the Celtic starting line-up, partnering Mortiz Jenz this evening. The Swedish international has had a tough time with injury this season but will now be looking to make his impact felt.
Going into the game, Ange Postecoglou had plenty of attacking options to choose from, and he has gone with pace against the Real Madrid backline.
It could potentially be a big evening for one of Liel Abada or Daizen Maeda, with the likes off Jota, Haksabanovic and Forrest waiting for their opportunity off the bench. Whilst Kyogo has been rewarded for his goal on Sunday with a start.
With Real Madrid going full strength, it is going to be a tough encounter for the Bhoys. However, Ange Postecoglou has put out an attacking side, and we expected that the Hoops will take the game to the current European champions.
Here’s hoping we can round off our European campaign with a positive performance!
