Celtic team vs St Johnstone confirmed; Attacking class, TV details, fans react
Ange Postecoglou has named his Celtic team vs St Johnstone for this evening’s Scottish League Cup semi-final, per the official club website.
The full match squad is as follows:
Starting XI – Hart, Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Welsh, Juranovic, Bitton, McGregor, Turnbull, Abada, Jota, Kyogo.
Substitutes – Bain, Scales, Ajeti, McCarthy, Johnston, Soro, Urhoghide, Forrest, Montgomery.
Today’s a big one for Celtic’s season and the forward momentum of Postecoglou’s project. Reaching a final of a national cup competition would be another significant step on the road to success.
The manager has named a strong eleven for the encounter as you’d expect. In fact, it’s exactly the same team that faced off against Dundee successfully a couple of weeks ago before the international break.

Celtic TV will carry live coverage for subscribers to that service worldwide, away from these shores.
BBC Radio Scotland will also provide live audio commentary across the airwaves and online.
Fan reaction to Celtic team vs St Johnstone
Fans are pleased with the line-up, considering there are injury problems for Carl Starfelt and Tom Rogic. This eleven is probably the strongest one we could field right now.
Everyone recognises that today is a big match. Not least because the team and support are paying tribute to Lisbon Lion Bertie Auld.
These fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the line-up…

Let’s get behind the team from the first whistle (if we can get there) to the last kick of the baw.
Let’s do this, for Bertie 🦁🍀
Expected line up. Hope to see Scales get more minutes. One negative was hoping to see Jullien on bench. Hope he’s getting closer to fitness #CelticFamily🍀— Craig Wilkinson (@coach_wilki) November 20, 2021

As you were. Hope to see Forrest at some point, he always seems to play well against St Johnstone. https://t.co/NKensePszb— DON'T T4OUBLE T4EBLE (@SteinReigned) November 20, 2021
