Manager Ange Postecoglou has named his Celtic team vs St Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon.

The full match squad is as follows:

Starting XI – Hart, Juranovic, Carter-Vickers, Starfelt, Taylor, McGregor, Hatate, Rogic, Jota, Maeda, Giakoumakis.

Substitutes – Bain, Bitton, Kyogo, Abada, Turnbull, McCarthy, Ideguchi, O’Riley, Ralston.

Last week’s victory against Rangers was fantastic, but it loses a lot of importance if the Bhoys don’t follow it up with another win today.

St Johnstone visit desperate to fight against relegation and will likely set up with a low block looking for a crucial point. It’s not going to be an easy 90 minutes.

The big news is that Kyogo Furuhashi returns to the bench. He should get a run out in the second half, which will no doubt receive a huge ovation from the supporters.

Elsewhere, Postecoglou has gone for an unchanged line-up to the one that started at Ibrox.

Instant verdict on Celtic team vs St Johnstone

It’s not a great surprise that Postecoglou has gone for consistency in his eleven. In fact, his line-up is exactly the one we predicted on the site and YouTube channel this weekend.

This is the manager’s best eleven with Kyogo not quite at the match fitness levels to start.

Daizen Maeda will press the opponents, Jota and Tom Rogic are our creative outlets while Giorgos Giakoumakis is the battering ram to break down a stodgy Saints defence.

It’s an excellent team that should have the weaponry to get goals and all three points today.

Come on the Hoops!
