Celtic are playing to maintain a nine-point lead at the top of the table after Rangers managed to get back to winning ways at home to Kilmarnock yesterday.

The manager has fielded exactly the same eleven that started last week’s Scottish League Cup final win over the Ibrox side, with players such as Aaron Mooy and Alistair Johnston retaining their places in the team.

As we enter a busy week, this team is also a good shout to be the one that starts away to Tynecastle in the Scottish Cup next week, all going well with fitness and injuries. Any rotation is likely to come mid-week at Celtic Park.

Broadcast details

Today’s match is live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football.

Celtic TV will also provide live coverage for subscribers to the club service outside of the UK & Ireland.

Broadcasters around the world are also showing the game including CBS Sports Network in the USA and beIN Sports in Australia. A full list of global channels can be found via LiveSoccerTV.

Instant verdict on Celtic team vs St Mirren

It’s clear that the manager sees this group as the strongest available to him right now. There are no injuries to speak of in the entire squad apart from Benjamin Siegrist.

Postecoglou doesn’t often name an unchanged eleven, but having trusted them to deliver silverware last year and now to win at the only Scottish ground we’ve been defeated at this season – this is his peak team.

With an incredibly deep bench to call upon throughout the match if needed, the Bhoys should have the quality to pick up all three points today.

In other news, Ange Postecoglou addresses James Forrest missing out on Celtic cup final.
