The full match squad is as follows:

Starting XI – Hart, Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Starfelt, Taylor, McGregor, Turnbull, Mooy, Jota, Maeda, Kyogo.

Substitutes – Bain, Haksabanovic, Abada, Kobayashi, Oh, Iwata, O’Riley, Hatate, Forrest.

As expected, Postecoglou has named a very strong starting eleven for this one with little rotation from last week’s league duty against St Johnstone.

There’s only one change to the line-up with midfielder David Turnbull coming in at the expense of Reo Hatate.

New signings such as Tomoki Iwata and Hyeongyu Oh remain on the bench as the manager works them up to starts following their arrivals from pre-season in Asia.

Instant verdict on Celtic team vs St Mirren

Turnbull fully merits an opportunity in the starting line-up. It’s just the second time since November he’s been given the nod in an initial eleven, though obviously has featured many times from the bench.

He’s managed to contribute five goals and five assists this season despite limited minutes, so there’ll be expectation he can be one of the players to make the difference this afternoon.

The rest of the eleven is as expected, per our predicted starters, so there are firmly no complaints about what the manager has given us today. Now it’s up to the players to deliver!
