Manager Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team vs Wolves in today’s Dublin pre-season friendly at the Aviva Stadium.

The full match squad is as follows:

Starting XI – Hart, Iwata, Welsh, Scales, Taylor, McGregor, O’Riley, Hatate, Abada, Maeda, Kyogo.

Substitutes – Bain, Siegrist, Haksabanovic, Yang, Turnbull, Holm, Oh, Kwon, Bernabei, Lawal, Forrest, McPherson.

While there’s nothing on the line today, the Bhoys will still be keen to produce a proud performance and a nice result for the Irish fans. As expected, Rodgers has named a strong line-up for that purpose.

Three changes have been made from the team that beat Gamba Osaka with Liam Scales, Matt O’Riley and Kyogo Furuhashi coming into the team. There’s no sign of Carl Starfelt, with a surprising defensive line named.

New signings Hyunjun Yang and Hyeokkyu Kwon are on the bench, as is summer arrival Odin Thiago Holm. Youngsters Bosun Lawal and Ben McPherson have also been included in the wider squad.

There will be immediate concern regarding the status of Starfelt and we hope to get word from the manager soon on that. Hopefully he is just being rested for Tuesday night and hasn’t picked up any sort of injury – that would be a blow heading into the Scottish Premiership next week. Given the transfer window is open, there are other possibilities too.

It’s great to see new signings included in the squad already and fans will be eager to see a glimpse of the new South Korean duo, as well as more from Holm after his cameo appearance off the bench last week.

It’s all primed to be an exciting afternoon. Fingers crossed the makeshift defence can cope with Wolves and we see the Bhoys express themselves in the opposition half!
