Sebastian Tounekti is a player who can sometimes leave Celtic fans feeling frustrated.

The Tunisian has shown flashes of skill and trickery, and in Celtic’s win over Auchinleck Talbot, Tounekti did just that with his well-taken goal.

Celtic struggled to beat Auchinleck and it took an 87th-minute Tounekti goal to ensure safe passage past the Junior side into the fifth round of the Scottish Cup.

And what the winger did immediately after his strike was captured by Celtic’s Unique Angle as Tounekti immediately raced to celebrate with a Hoops coach on the sidelines.

Sebastian Tounekti’s goal celebration with Celtic coach Mark Fotheringham

Tounekti’s strike was the moment of the game, as Celtic earned their spot to face Dundee in the next round of the Scottish Cup.

And as he made his way back to the centre circle, the Hoops winger made a beeline for Celtic coach Mark Fotheringham.

Have a watch of this:

It was a class moment that shows how Fotheringham is having a positive effect on the Celtic first team squad.

The jury is still out on Sebastian Tounekti

Tounekti has flattered to deceive on so many occasions, fans were starting to question the sum of money Celtic had paid for the winger.

With 20 games under his belt, Tounekti has scored just two goals and provided not a single assist so far for his teammates.

It could be argued that if Celtic had a better striker, then Tounekti’s assist stats could, and should, be much higher.

But, for now, the jury still remains very much out for the Celtic winger despite his wonder Scottish Cup goal.
