The fixtures have now been confirmed for Celtic’s Europa League group stage matches. One fixture immediately stands out from the rest.

The Hoops’ first home match in the group stages will be against Cluj on the 3rd of October. That means that Celtic will not have to wait long to try to get revenge on the team that knocked them out of the Champions League.
Manager will hopefully have learned lessons
Celtic boss Neil Lennon will hopefully have learned a few lessons from that 4-3 loss to Cluj. The most important being that Callum McGregor is not to play at left-back.
Still, should Celtic play the way to their very best, they should have more than enough to beat Cluj both home and away.
The Hoops only lost that tie because of defensive errors. If those are cut out, then with the goals in the team Celtic should be able to get revenge.
Second fixture could be vital to both teams
The second fixture against Cluj could have added importance, as it will be the last in the group stages. That would be a bonus for Celtic – defeating Cluj in the last fixture and knocking them out of Europe.
Before that though will come fixtures against Lazio and Rennes. Those matches will be vital to the Hoops, if they want to progress in the competition.
When it comes down to it though, all eyes will be on the matches against Cluj. Hopefully the Hoops set the record straight this time.
