In a three-way tussle to win Scottish football’s main crown, on Sunday, ten-man Celtic drew 2-2 with Hearts, and Rangers saw off Dundee.
Celtic are still six points behind the Premiership leaders, and they now sit third in the table after 23 matches.
Yes, there is still a long way to go, but Chris Sutton is fuming at how Martin O’Neill is being treated and what he has to deal with.

Chris Sutton doesn’t hold back after Celtic’s draw at Hearts
The January transfer window will slam shut next week, and so far, the Hoops only have two new faces through the doors.
Both of them started at Tynecastle – Tomas Cvancara made his debut and supplied the assist for Celtic’s second goal, whilst Julian Araujo, who was signed under Wilfried Nancy, started at right-back.
The reason why Sutton was fuming on social media is that he thinks it’s an ’embarrassment’ that Celtic have only brought in one new player for O’Neill.
The former striker thinks Celtic’s performance against Hearts is ‘not on him’, as he clearly feels the powers that be are preparing to fail by not strengthening the squad.
“Celtic were dragged into the game Hearts wanted to play,” said Sutton.
“Good point in the end. Not convinced Trusty was a red. Nothing new learnt. For Martin (O’Neill) to only have one player in is an embarrassment, and it’s not on him… fail to prepare, prepare to fail…”
