Chris Sutton enjoyed the entertainment that Celtic’s draw with Aberdeen brought as a spectacle but has criticised the Bhoys for ‘preparing to fail’ with their underwhelming transfer window.
Bojan Miovski was on the scoresheet for Aberdeen and Nicolas Kuhn for Celtic after an open, end-to-end battle in the second half of Saturday’s 1-1 Scottish Premiership draw at Pittodrie.
The Bhoys dominated the first half and missed far too many chances but either side could have gone on to pick up all three points after the interval.
For Sutton, who was on co-commentary duties for Sky Sports, it was a great watch but he has sounded alarms about the way Celtic’s season is going.

He said on social media site X: “Great advert that for the Scottish game. Tremendous second-half performance from Aberdeen who really gave it a go against Celtic.
“Celtic’s failure to bring in a left back summed up when Bernabei was hooked in the second half. Fail to prepare, prepare to fail. Title race is on…”
This season always threatened to be a tight affair at the top of the table. It seems now it could go right down to the wire. If Rangers win their games in hand they will be level on points with the Bhoys.
With two league derbies remaining and 12 other matches to contend with, a lot can happen between now and the end of the campaign but it’s clear that Celtic can’t afford too many more draws or defeats.
Brendan Rodgers himself is expecting a tough battle from this point onwards and it all begins with a tricky trip to Easter Road against Hibernian on Wednesday night.
