Although the headlines will belong to Jota, Moritz Jenz and Liel Abada after their brilliant attacking contributions in the Celtic win over Ross County, Joe Hart’s big moment shouldn’t go overlooked.

The Bhoys goalkeeper made a brilliant low save to his left from a powerful Owura Edwards free-kick with the game deadlocked at 1-1, just minutes after the home side had equalised.

The ball was fired through bodies right in front of the goalkeeper and may have even taken a slight deflection.

Had he not managed to dig that one out, the win could have been in serious danger. Although Celtic went on to score two more goals, County going ahead would have changed the entire complexion of the closing 25 minutes.

The save came in the middle of an outage for many supporters watching via streams online, so some haven’t even seen it, but it’s well worth checking out the highlights to see his crucial contribution.

Hart isn’t called into action too often between the sticks for Celtic but has still popped up with some big stops over the last 12 months, arguably more than he’s given credit for, and today’s certainly falls into that category.

Hart often gets plaudits for what he’s brought to the club in terms of personality and leadership, but it’s easy to forget that ultimately he has just been a fantastic goalkeeper for the Bhoys.

It’s a real positive he is staying sharp and alert to these moments. With Ben Siegrist adding competition to his position this season, the former England number one looks more motivated than ever to impress.
