Celtic have announced tonight’s line-up vs Hibs in the Scottish Premiership, per the official club website.
The full match squad is as follows:
Starting XI – Hazard, Duffy, Soro, Turnbull, Rogic, Johnston, Frimpong, McGregor, Harper, Welsh, Laxalt.
Substitutions – Doohan, Taylor, Connell, Coffey, Okoflex, Henderson, Ralston, Hjelde, Karamoko.
Tonight’s squad was always going to be a strange one. The fall-out from the Dubai trip has taken its toll on the club’s options against Jack Ross’ outfit.
Cameron Harper making his debut is the headline news. As we discussed earlier, he is in the starting line-up alongside Stephen Welsh and Mikey Johnston, the other youngsters in the team alongside Jeremie Frimpong.
The bench is pretty light in terms of established talent but players such as Karamoko Dembele and Armstrong Okoflex have been given an opportunity.
It’s still a starting eleven capable of beating Hibernian. Bring it on.
Broadcast Details
Tonight’s match is on the club’s ‘Pass To Paradise’ streaming service for season ticket holders as the fixture is at home and in the Scottish Premiership.
Celtic TV will also be broadcasting live coverage, for subscribers to the separate service, outside of the UK & Ireland.
Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football will be providing a live TV broadcast too.
For those who cannot tune in on the telly, BBC Radio Scotland is providing live audio commentary online and over the airwaves.
Over in the USA, the match will be on ESPN+. The details for other countries can be found here. The game is on 48 channels in 76 countries.
Fan reaction
Nobody is blaming the players for this Covid-19 crisis, so there’s a lot of support for the eleven and the young bench on social media.
There’s an excitement that Harper makes a debut, as well as there being a chance to see Karamoko Dembele and others.
Hopefully, these players can do the fans proud.
Mistakes have been made, but we still need three points.
We always want Celtic to win.
These fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts…
Worse than expected, no first team strikers available and a very weak bench. This will be fun……… https://t.co/sjoa5v1l1g

A very much depleted side, especially on the bench with a number of youngsters
Despite that, really excited to see Harper tonight as well as the likes of Johnston. Big chance for these guys
Good to still have the likes of McGregor, Turnbull and Soro too https://t.co/mG19o2S6mb

So 5 of the usual starters have survived (3 in midfield and the FB’s) and it looks like Harper/Johnston up front if we’ve carried on the diamond. This is going to be an interesting 90 minutes to say the least https://t.co/4DAB6S1qeT
