Neil Lennon has announced his Celtic team to face Aberdeen in todayโ€™s Scottish Cup semi-final, per the official club website.

The full match squad is as follows:

Starting XI โ€“ Bain, Frimpong, Duffy, Bitton, Laxalt, Brown, McGregor, Rogic, Christie, Elyounoussi, Edouard.

Substitutes โ€“ Barkas, Taylor, Griffiths, Ajeti, Klimala, Soro, Turnbull, Ntcham, Elhamed.

Today is a mammoth day for the manager and his team.

Celtic have now gone four matches without a win and although there has been an improvement over the last week, everyone needs to see a win today at Hampden.

The Bhoys have won the last 11 trophies in domestic competition.

This match can obviously serve as a massive step towards number 12 and a quadruple treble, with Hearts awaiting todayโ€™s winners in the final.

The big news is that Odsonne Edouard and Nir Bitton return to the starting lineup after coming off the bench against Lille, following their COVID-19 illnesses.

Itโ€™s a strong team that must get the job done.

Fan reaction

As you can imagine, fans are obviously delighted to see star man Edouard back in amongst it.

Heโ€™s been a huge miss in recent weeks and weโ€™re all eager to see if he can rekindle his best form now the transfer window is shut.

Elsewhere there is a good balance in the midfield with Tom Rogic and Ryan Christie both having match-winning ability, complementing Scott Brown and Callum McGregor.

There is optimism that itโ€™s a strong enough eleven to do damage to Aberdeen.

This is what some fans have been saying this afternoonโ€ฆ
