Manager Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team vs Hearts for this afternoon’s Scottish Premiership clash.

Substitutes – Bain, Phillips, Yang, Turnbull, Oh, Tomoki, Bernardo, Forrest, Ralston.
Today’s a big game for the Bhoys, playing almost 24 hours after Rangers cut the points gap in the table to four with a victory over Hibernian. Celtic can show they’ll be kept distant despite the appointment of Philippe Clement.
Rodgers has named his strongest available eleven. In fact, it is entirely unchanged from the side that comfortably beat Kilmarnock prior to the international break.
The in-form Matt O’Riley plays in midfield alongside Reo Hatate and Callum McGregor, with Luis Palma and Daizen Maeda supporting Kyogo Furuhashi in attack.

Instant verdict on Celtic team vs Hearts
It’s definitely the right call to name an unchanged eleven today. Celtic were pretty good against Killie last time out and the team is full of players showing growth in confidence and effectiveness under Rodgers.
With Maik Nawrocki still not quite available, the Liam Scales and Cameron Carter-Vickers partnership is the strongest right now. It’ll be a test for them at Tynecastle but hopefully it’s another one they come through with flying colours.
There’s enough threat and strength in the side today to feel confident of a victory but the team must turn up for a battle. It isn’t going to be easy.
