Brendan Rodgers made some interesting changes for Celtic’s 4-1 win over Hibernian on Wednesday night.
Rotation was expected because of the fixture pile-up, with several changes made across the pitch, including in the middle of the park.
Tomoki Iwata was handed his first start in Celtic colours under Brendan Rodgers this season and he didn’t disappoint.
It was a solid and reliable display from the 26-year-old in the middle of the pitch, which left the injured Daizen Maeda applauding his teammate via his Instagram story.
The Japan winger labelled his fellow countryman as ‘super’ after he got a solid 90 minutes under his belt and maintained Celtic’s dominance at the top of the Premiership table.
It will be interesting to see what Brendan Rodgers does for the Kilmarnock trip because you would imagine that Tomoki Iwata now deserves to keep his place in the XI.

Celtic squad shows its worth

With Kyogo Furuhashi on the bench, it was time for Hyeongyu Oh to step up and he did just that by scoring a brilliant brace.
