Celtic head to Hampden for the December Premier Sports Cup final after beating Rangers at the national stadium.
Celtic beat Rangers with a 3-1 scoreline that looked less than convincing after the Ibrox club managed to get themselves back into the match with a late, and controversial, James Tavernier penalty.
However, Celtic proved too powerful with the extra man advantage as Callum McGregor and Callum Osmand sealed the win in extra time.
And reacting to the defeat, Rangers boss Danny Rohl was extremely disappointed as Martin O’Neill draws first blood in the battle of the first Glasgow Derby between the two bosses.

Danny Rohl reacts to Rangers red card after defeat to Celtic in the Premier Sports Cup
Rangers boss Danny Rohl was gutted as he delivered his verdict on his team being knocked out of the competition by Celtic.
Rohl told Premier Sports, “Today we couldn’t get the win. It’s disappointing for us, but I will take the spirit from the group I see in the last 10 days and even when 1-0 down, to carry on, to carry on.
“I think second half we played brave football in pressing, but also in the moment which helps them, really”
When asked about Thelo Asgaard’s red card, the Rangers boss said, “I have to look back at it. I think it’s a decision from the ref.
“I think on my part of the discussion, if it’s a red card, it’s a red card, I don’t know yet.
“Yeah, of course, it’s a long, long time in such a cup game when you go again with 10 men, 60 minutes and the extra time.
“I think we worked really, really hard to come back in this game, I think we deserved the equaliser.
“And then at the end, it’s 3-1.”
Quite an evasive answer from Rohl considering the evidence is clear that Thelo Asgaard deserved to walk for his studs up challenge on Celtic defender Anthony Ralston.
When Celtic next face Rangers
This will be the first of two meetings between Celtic and Rangers over the next two months with O’Neill getting the better of his Glasgow rivals.
With Rangers still to visit Celtic Park, Martin O’Neill will, hopefully, have the chance to bury the Ibrox club’s title winning hopes in January.
The 3rd of January is the date Celtic will play Rangers in the Scottish Premiership and with confidence and morale seeping back into the Bhoys, O’Neill really has got Celtic ticking just at the right time of the season.
